According to data from the American Iron and Steel Association, during the week from January 13th to January 18th, major steel mills in the United States produced 1.836 million short tons of crude steel at an average capacity utilization rate of 76.6%, an increase of 0.2% compared to the 1.832 million short tons produced at an average capacity utilization rate of 76.5% in the same period last year; Compared to the 1.83 million short tons of crude steel produced at an average capacity utilization rate of 76.4% the previous week, an increase of 0.3%.
Specifically, during the week, the Northeast region of the United States produced 204000 short tons of crude steel, the Great Lakes region produced 642200 short tons of crude steel, the Midwest region produced 261000 short tons of crude steel, the southern region produced 641000 short tons of crude steel, and the western region produced 88000 short tons of crude steel.
